Photography Rates for Weddings: Why so High?
Photography for weddings can run…well…pretty freaking high. You may be wondering what exactly makes the rates so high. Well, for starters…most wedding photographers work alone or with one second shooter.
I have been personally told by a wedding photographer (and a good friend) that he would be up for days stressing out about shooting a wedding before the actual date arrived. Why? Because brides are looking for perfection and pictures of everything and everyone and a photographer only has one lens and two legs. It can be very hard to keep up with a large wedding party on their own, so many times wedding photos bring in second shooters.
Along with the amount of footwork and time involved in shooting a wedding, equipment and developing are among the other reasons why the photography rates for weddings may seem high.
